// Windsurfing at "Al Pra'"
The "spot wave Al Pra' " has a great deal to offer to windsurfers, and uses northern winddsuch as the Pelèr.
The Pelèr rises and takes strength with the first sun and discends lenghtways down the lake; it arrives at Al Prà at an intensity of 15 to 25 knots, creates waves 50-150 cm high and 50 to 150 m. long down the lake, and blows from 7.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. with a frequency of 150 days between april and december.
During the remaining months the frequency is the same and
the intensity is grater.
The Nord-Nord Est Balì arrives at Al Prà with an intensity
of 25 to 35-40 knots, but forms waves 50-100 cm high with gusts that create
flat water and waves at a maximum of 150-250 cm, that continue for up to
200cm.
This wind can create itself in any moment of the day and lasts for 3 days ( gets up, increases, dies).
The frequency is approximately 30 days between april and december. In the winter the frequency stays the same but, like the pelèr, the intensity increases.
In the afternoon at Al Prà light to medium winds blow from the south; excellent for beginners, no waves and various leeward landings.
